Waqas Mehmood is an accomplished academic leader and published author with around 2 decades of expertise in further and primarily higher education quality assurance, curriculum development, and strategic partnership management. Holding a Master of Information Systems Management from the University of Greenwich and a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Business IT from NCC Education, he has led academic provision in partnership with Buckinghamshire New University, Leeds Trinity University, and the University of Suffolk, chairing Academic Board and driving continuous enhancement of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
A Research Fellow at the Applied Centre for Emotional Literacy Leadership & Research, Waqas has authored a published eBook on Teacher Burnout and contributed peer-reviewed research on cultural differences and performance management. He is the recipient of the VC's Appreciation Award, Pride of Academics Award, and Personal Tutor of the Year, reflecting his sustained commitment to academic excellence. Waqas is dedicated to evidence-based governance, regulatory compliance, and building inclusive, student-centred learning environments aligned with sector expectations.
